S told in the first book some new struggles develop in this book For me Lighting the Way is a story of healing and change Compared to the tragic vents in the first book Lighting the Way is less drastic but don t worry you will get an amazing Zack (Areion Fury MC emotional rollercoaster ride while Kat and Nat work on their problemsLighting the Way is a book that Injoyed Shadow on the Crown (The Emma of Normandy Trilogy, endlessly seeing the two women go through their lives makes this an awesome book to read What I love is the open display of love and affection just like the intimacy that these two ladies show Kat and Nat are close like in really close And this close connection has an almost magic uality they care so much forach other that you will probably want to read on simply because you feel so much for them the their story unfolds In addition their intimacy means they know ContamiNation exactly how to hurtach other None of the two is confrontational but there is conflict between them To see that at work is awesome but did I mention heart wrenching There is a lot of variety in Taxi ins Glück emotions which is depicted with love for detail The fears hopes and love of both women are something you can virtually grab and Miss Vitsky is amazing at bringing us Kat and Nat s feelings close They feel real and are believable because Kat and Nat just do what human beings sometimes do they love they are angry they are happy sad sometimes they hurt the ones they love tooIf anything Kat and Natalie are among the most wonderful characters you could read about Due to the first person point of view you crawl into their minds and the way this is written makes itasy to identify with ither of them They are not perfect human beings they are believable over their decisions could be yours So Lighting the Way is definitely worth five stars What a wonderful book I really njoyed The Way Home the first book in the series but this time Ms Vitsky has really matured as a writer It totally transcends sexual preferences and is incredibly brave about the paradoxes and confusions that go hand in hand with spanking and domestic discipline getting right to the heart of the matter In book one I found myself thinking that Nat was bordering on abusive and although I could see she really loved Kat and vice versa it left me a little uncomfortable at times But the writer was brave Losing My Virginity and Other Dumb Ideas enough to say that and deal with the potential abuse issues in this book A book to be read by anyone thinking of going down the road of DD or HOH relationships regardless of gender or preferences Brave andnlightening I laughed I cried It sounds like the opening line to a comedy spoof I remember from way back when The Magic Rolling Pin except thatI really did I read a million okay slightxaggerationmaybe books but I only write a very rare few reviews particularly among my contemporaries After finishing this book I was moved to write this oneAnastasia Vitsky has created a wonderfully well written and soul touching story about friendship family spanking growing up falling in love losing the way and finding it back again Everything wasn t magically all better just because you reached that certain part of the book where you know it ought to be. Is simple; Kat has problems and Natalie fixes them But what worked in adolescence becomes complicated with adulthood and new developments in their relationship challenge these roles Kat is no longer sure whether she is willing to be disciplined according to Natalie’s rules and Natalie is no longer sure whether she is worthy of Kat’s trustCan Natalie allow herself to be vulnerable Can.
Awesome story about love healing forgiveness and family I m looking forward to reading the next installment A detailed review to come as soon as I have some spare time Looking back to what almost destroyed Indecent... Exposure (Indecent, everything and find the way back We learn about Kat s leaving and what it really taught her They are both healing These girls seem to be moving forward and finding the way back to happy I received this book to give an honest reviewLighting the Way is book two in Kat and Natalie s adventure Within this book you get some answers that you didn t get in book one which I thought was great You get to see a side of Natalie that you have not seen before which was When I came to thend of this book I was most unbearably sad to see it as Anastasia s books always make me I was grateful to have some time with her characters Natalie and Kat I sadly found Anastasia after she d launched these characters into book form from her blog Although I m really looking forward to the Kat sitting story now that I ve finished this book After Not Without a Fight enjoying the way Anastasia skips around the timeline of the story in the 1st Kat and Natalie book I was glad to see she did it again in this book I loved the deepening of the relationship between Natalie s parents and Kat I loved the highlighting of how Kat had grown gotten better in this book Ispecially loved the final chapter in Natalie s perspective and seeing her notice Kat s growth I do so hope Anastasia does with these wonderful women Lighting the Way by Ms Vitsky is the continuing story of Natalie and Kat Through the many twists and turns of dysfunctional family and the damaging Garden Bouquets and Beyond effects on both this story shows us the value of family and love and trust I ve fallen in love with these characters from the start They are beautifully broken women who have found interesting and unorthodox ways of coping in their relationshipTheir sense of fun and loveven through some difficult issues makes this pair incredibly adorable Their strong relationship is proof that family isn t always blood Often the closest family relationships are with friends of our choosing When The Unseen Wonder everyonelse in our blood families fail us this family 20 will notI feel as though I know Natalie and Kat and that they are now friends of mine I urge you to read this wonderful story to connect with them today The second of the Kat and Natalie stories Lighting the Way is a wonderful seuel to the first book The Way Home There are several flashbacks that allow the reader to perceive the story through Kat and Natalie s The Management Bible eyes This is done in a very clear and clever way as it pushes the plot forward and helps to create the bigger picture of how the women s lives continue with several twists and turnsThe book is meant to be a standalone title but for a deeper understanding I do recommend reading The Way Home first In Lighting the Way you meet Kat and Nat again best friends and Nat has this habit of spanking uickly In Kat she has found the perfect partner who craves these and hates them a lot at times Does this mean the whole book is about spanking No absolutely not Both women struggle some of this College roommates best friends and family Can Kat and Natalie find a way to stay togetherwithout killingach otherKat Astra knows one thing Zu schnell everything is her fault A deadnd job A fear of confrontation An inability to speak up when necessary Desertion of her best friend in her time of needNatalie Mestecom knows one thing too verything Kat does is Natalie’s fault The relationship rule.
Coming back together again The characters had to work for it and that for me made it feel so much real She hit my motional keys like only a really good author can and created two women who could have stepped right off the page and been as real to me as anyone I physically know By the nd of the book they were my friends too Whether you are a fan of Ff or not I highly recommend reading Lighting the Way I have become a fan for life This book hit me in an odd way so I have mixed feelings about it The same writing style of flashback intermingled with present day persists from book 1 and we pick up where that book left offKat and Natalie are now in a reunited state living together and being at ach other s side The story or less transcends gender or sexuality and continues to focus on the deep friendship between the two It never does turn into a clearly defined ff romantic relationship but it feels like it has verything xcept for sexual intimacy so it s kind of strange I m wondering if that would be the next step if there were a book 3 or if the relationship is meant to remain in its current form indefinitelyThe two characters are on a stable ground in the aftermath of all of the actions from the first book so the storyline is a bit like clean up and recovery after a disaster hitsThe dommesub dynamic also persists between Natalie and Kat There s an Invisible (The Curse of Avalon emphasis on punishment though that got to a point where I was just uncomfortable Unlike the author s other stories with punishmentspankingdomination themes this time it didn t feel right But then as that feeling was coming to a peak Vitsky presented the notion that the relationship had crossed a line to abusive which leads Natalie and Kat to uestion their actions I was glad to see it was intentional This author oftenxplores walking fine lines healthy vs unhealthy Yummy Supper etc so that aspect is something I always find interestingWhat was also a bit weird for me too was the threats to Natalie and Kat of possible disciplinary measures in present day from the parentsven though I think it was partly said in jest and not At least we know where Natalie gets it from Anyway I don t agree with spanking kids so perhaps I m just rubbed the wrong wayit just left me back to feeling weirdThere were a few mysterious loose nds left over from the first book that were tied up here Some mysteries were only given a short xplanation or a line or two so I wouldn t say they were all Deep Listening explored in detail but at least we getnough for resolutionThis isn t a standalone book and I definitely recommend reading book 1 first if you re interested in reading thisAm I glad I read the story Um sort of Instead of a finale this felt like a middle and I wanted I would ve liked to have seen Natalie and Kat s dynamics play out after realizing they d crossed a line I didn t see that played out clearly nough I think I need a big sign or something so it could just be me And I want to know what happens later as in six months or a year after So in that way it was unsatisfying At the same time Vitsky is Vitsky and I like her writing So I put this around 36 stars rounding up to Kat believe in her own strength Can Natalie believe in Kat’s strength How will they ach in their own way learn to move beyond guilt and blame in order to forge a new relationship together In order to make peace with themselves and ach other Kat and Natalie reconnect with family re visit memories of their past and make plans for taking steps forward in the future To light their way ho.
